Christmas 2011 Newsletter

I start our December newsletter typing with excited fingers as Fred and I would like to officially announce that our plans to have a café are going ahead! Since we first opened the patisserie doors back in June 2007 customers have asked if there is a café through the back! Well in April there will be and we all look forward to serving you with a Robineau smile and delicious food.
The new ‘Café corner’ section within our newsletter will keep you updated with hot off the press news and a few pictures of work in progress! No builders though with cups of tea please!
The beginning of December means it’s also time to finalise those shopping lists and place your orders for any Christmas desserts you would like for your festive tables. Our Christmas brochure is attached to this newsletter for you to download at your convenience.
Let’s also not forget the macaroon flavours and our Tour de France dessert – so much to tell you today!
Our 2011 Christmas Brochure is available to download now too… just click the button below!
November Newsletter…

I hope you are all well and ready for a warm around the bonfire at the weekend and a hot sausage bun with some onions!
The beginning of November means it’s also time to reveal our Christmas desert menu and our delicious chocolate selections and treats. This year we have attached our Christmas brochure to this newsletter for you to download at your convenience. Click the button below to download the 2011 Robineau Christmas Brochure.
Let’s also not forget the macaroon flavours and our Tour de France dessert – so much to tell you today!
Autumn Newsletter

Well it is certainly autumn now, although we were not too sure a few weeks ago with those hot temperatures! It was a nice treat though before we think about hibernating and getting cosy in front of our fires!
This month we bring you more comfort food – Pies! We decided on our tour de France to step onto the Euro star and come back to England for something us Brits do well, apple pies, apple and blackberry pies, large and small with crunchy brown sugar on the top.
We also have this month’s macaroons and also a few hints on the Christmas menu which is coming out next month.
August Newsletter

I am speechless today looking outside at the pouring rain. Where is our summer, does anyone know?!! Ah yes you’ve all been or going on a plane to another planet where sun exists! Just like us really… Daniel has been to Majorca, Karen’s been to Spain and Amsterdam, Aimee is daring to go down South this year and we’ve been to Norway and even in rainy Bergen it rained less than here! Anyway we have lots of sunny patisserie for your wet barbeques and family gatherings! The must buy of the month are the passion fruit macaroons!
Come in and see us and we promise a warm welcome and a sunny smile!
Father’s Day at Robineau

I hope our newsletter finds you all happy and smiling, planning for a lovely sunny summer holiday and getting those shorts out of the wardrobe! It needs to be a bit warmer to get my white milk bottles out but here’s hoping!
Our patisserie is as busy as ever and we are progressing with our café plans which I will have firm news on next month for you.
While typing this I keep getting wafts of choux pastry from the kitchen which is making my mouth water as I know what the result will be…..it’s our dessert of the month for June and it’s a seriously yummy one……….
This month we have Father’s Day on the 19th of June so we have a few present ideas for the best Dads in the world including a manly box of macaroons!
Easter Newsletter

We hope you are full of the joys of spring. It is so lovely to see the blossoms coming out and the sunny smile of daffodils. Winter is gone folks and we can look forward to balmy nights sat in the garden…
We hope you all enjoyed your mother’s day gifts last weekend and had chance to spend some quality family time together. We spent the day at Mums, cooked and made a lovely crumble with rhubarb from our garden and some apple and lots of custard!
So I think you will have guessed by the photo above what’s next – Easter! Can we have a little rest after this; we are secretly hoping so! Our chocolate room is packed with eggs, sheep, cows and chickens! Thank the lord that they are not real ones though!
Today I have Easter gifts for you, Easter desserts, creative kitchen news and our dessert of the month for April.
Mother’s Day Newsletter

We hope you are all well and that the lighter nights and buds appearing on the tress are lightening your mood as spring is on the way and we will soon be changing the clocks too!
February has certainly come and gone without us realising it and we are hard at work gearing up for Mothers day, Easter and our summer weddings.
Since I last wrote to you Fred and I have been walking the streets of London and Paris visiting our favourite haunts and spent time out to discuss new ideas for the business. More on this later in the creative kitchen section but there’s one clue in the photograph above!
So our newsletter this month brings ideas for our lovely Mums on Mother’s day, Easter egg decorating days and our dessert of the month for March.
Valentines Newsletter

My mission today is to get you all loved up and ready for Valentine’s day, let you know what’s happening in the kitchen, oh I have also included a photograph of our scrummy ‘Paris Brest’ which kicks off our ‘Tour de France’ desserts in February and as promised I have a photo of one of the new birthday cakes.
So let’s go straight for the heart but don’t forget it starts in the stomach when trying to win a man and just so we are politically correct, ladies also love a man in an apron, cooking and washing up! In my case also! I didn’t do too bad, French and a chef but he’s not keen on the dirty pots!
Anyway I mentioned in my last newsletter that you would just need the starter and the main course as we had some desserts for two. So here is your Robineau Valentine’s dessert menu…
Chocolate gifts, desserts for Christmas, late night shopping, sexy new patisserie boxes and gorgeous gift vouchers.

Lots to tell you today folks as you can see from my title!
So lets start with our late night shopping which is next Thursday the 16th and we are open till 8.00pm. To keep you warm we are serving mulled wine and mince pies from 5.30pm! Thought that would make you smile! After such bad weather we are all a little behind with shopping so we thought this might help.
This Saturday the 11th and also the following Saturday the 18th we are open until 5.30pm rather than the usual 4.30pm.
Every day we are sampling a selection of our chocolates to introduce our three new selection boxes: Tutti frutti, Caramel selection and the After dinner delights. Today we have our moorish dark chocolate truffles, jellies and sea salted caramels on……..
